David May Models Blackfin Eyewear: Behind the Scenes of a High-Fashion Shoot

David May our kaizen model travelled to Italy to shoot Blackfin Eyewear. Shot in studio, the eyewear set was a series of white rectangular movable pillars on a white painted floor. The models were styled in all white, and off-white, modern, minimalistic clothing that complimented well the gorgeous Titanium eyewear of Blackfin. The frames of Blackfin popped on this monochrome palette white and silver. The set was lit by large movie lights casting shadows from the pillars lending drama to the look of the scene. David was the older gentleman model and was told they were after a Danish look. He was complimented by a younger dutch model, and two Italian lady models. One of the other lady models had platinum hair that matched the scene perfectly. The brand and the photographer were very specific about the feeling they wanted the models to convey. Strength, simplicity, and confidence. The geometry of the glasses played along the straight lines and layers of the pillars. The pillars were moved into different positions and configurations lending depth and mystery to what perhaps laid in this future world. Some of the models of the frames were also quite colorful. Gum metal grays, titanium silvers balanced by modern opaque colors. We think that David really inhabited his world, and the other models too. Bravo to Blackfin for creating amazing imagery. Their eyewear is stunning, and will grow in market share and will be found in more and more opticians around the world as it becomes more known.
